Nebraska’s Oct. 8 contest with Ohio State is shaping up to be a big recruiting weekend for the Huskers.
That weekend, Nebraska will host five-star recruits Devin Fuller and Andrus Peat on official visits. The standouts are two of the Huskers top remaining recruiting targets.
Fuller, a dual-threat quarterback from Westwood (N.J.) Old Tappan, plans to trim his list of favorites to five schools later this week.
Expect Nebraska to be on that list, along with Penn State and Rutgers.
“Nebraska will definitely be in that final five,” Fuller told Huskers Illustrated and 247Sports, a World-Herald partner. “I know of a few others, but I don’t want that to be public yet. I really like the style of offense at Nebraska, it’s the same that we run at Old Tappan now. I think I could fit right in and compete early.”
He’ll be joined Oct. 8 by Peat, a five-star offensive tackle from Tempe, Arizona, who is rated the No. 5 prospect in the country according to 247Sports. Peat is the younger brother of Nebraska freshman defensive tackle Todd Peat, Jr., and holds offers from most of the country’s top programs.
“I haven’t planned out my five official visits yet, but I’m pretty sure I’ll visit Nebraska when they host Ohio State,” he told 247Sports and Huskers Illustrated.
