Problems with a hip flexor have cut short Alfonzo Dennard’s stay at the Senior Bowl.

According to Tony Pauline of SI.com, the former Nebraska cornerback is being replaced by Josh Norman of Coastal Carolina on the North roster.

Not sure how or when the injury came about, but Dennard had gotten some negative reviews after Monday’s practice from those covering the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Ala. Several also reported that the 5-foot-11, 205-pounder rebounded Tuesday in workouts.

Next up for Dennard would be the NFL Combine, set for Feb. 22-28 in Indianapolis.
