Because of incoming weather expected to hit the Midlands on Friday, many prep sports events are being rescheduled. Here’s a roundup of early reports:
>> The Grand Island Central Catholic vs. Lexington boys and girls basketball games scheduled for Friday night have been moved ahead. The new times: 4 p.m. varsity girls; 5:30 p.m. varsity boys. Final decisions to play the game will be made by noon Friday.
>> The Elkhorn Swim Invite has moved from Saturday, Feb. 4 to Friday, Feb. 3. The meet will start at 3 p.m.
>> The Hastings-Omaha Skutt junior varsity and varsity games scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 4 is postponed to Friday, Feb. 10 at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
>> The Omaha Northwest-Omaha North girls basketball game scheduled for Saturday was played Thursday.
>> McCook and Ogallala moved their boys’ basketball game up to Thursday night from Friday.
>> Cambridge and Perkins County boys and girls basketball games, originally scheduled for Friday, were played Thursday.
