SCOUTING REPORTS
Scouting UNO: It’s equal parts past and future for UNO, which plays its former North Central Conference and future Summit League rival in South Dakota. … UNO and South Dakota haven’t played since the 2007-08 season, but will play twice each season once again, starting next year. … UNO leads the all-time series 34-32, though South Dakota won the past five meetings before moving up to Division I. … Cathleen Cox scored 14 first-half points and 20 overall in Thursday’s 69-68 win over Sioux Falls. The freshman guard from Elkhorn also had a career-high eight rebounds, seven of which came in the first half. She’s fifth on the team in scoring at 7.3 points per game. … UNO opponents are shooting 28.5 percent from 3-point range this season. Last year, UNO allowed opponents to shoot 35.8 percent from 3, worst in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association.

Scouting South Dakota: Amber Hegge, from Crofton, Neb., is a three-time Summit League player of the week and the Coyotes’ leading rebounder (8.7). … The Coyotes lead the Summit League and rank No. 27 in Division I in scoring defense, allowing opponents 53.9 points per game. … Center Jodie Boss, from Columbus, Neb., is South Dakota’s career leader in blocked shots (188) and has blocked at least one shot in 39 straight games. She’s averaging 3.9 blocks per game this season. … South Dakota is in third place in the Summit League, at 7-5 in conference games. .. Coyotes have won five straight games. … McKayla Knudson of South Sioux City, Neb., has appeared in 18 games, averaging 3.2 points, and Taylor Moore of Milford, Neb., has played in 17 games, averaging 2.4 points. … Starter Tempestt Wilson played at Iowa Western Community College. … Fourth-year coach Ryun Williams spent 10 seasons as the head coach at Wayne State.
