I don’t do many book reviews, but Dr. Jack Stark’s “The Championship Formula” deserves two thumbs up.
Stark, a clinical and performance psychologist from Omaha, is widely known for work during his career as a team pyschologist for Nebraska football, Creighton basketball and Hendrick Motorsports. He also has worked with many businesses.
Stark’s book has an academic bent, but is loaded with enough strong stories and anecdotes from Tom Osborne and Warren Buffett to keep sports fans, business leaders and anyone interested in leadership turning the 229 pages.
Stark offers 26 “team-to-dynasty” tips. My favorite is No. 7:
“The person at the top will determine the personality or culture of an entire civilization, country, company or team.”
His website is www.ChampionshipFormula.com.

Well, Lee, that book definitely defines NU basketball. The person on top is dead last!
Tom Osborne?
Tom Osborne runs the atheltic dept which, overall, is in good shape. Have to look at the head coaches for the shape of each individual team.
If No. 7 is true, with President Obama at the top we’re ——!
D-bags like you are… your aristocratic fantasies are much more unlikely.
That’s OK, at least I’m not a S-bag. President Obama is quoted as saying: “Americans… still believe in an America where everything is possible–they just don’t think their leaders do.”
See Bo P. There you have it.
