Although it ended well for The Bluejays, who scored a late win, it was a rough weekend for the Missouri Valley in the BracketBusters.
Here’s a recap of Saturday’s action:
No. 24 Wichita State 91, Davidson 74: Joe Ragland scored 30 points and Wichita State shot a blazing 80 percent from the field in the second half to break open a tight game. [Note] Ragland, a senior, hit 11 of 14 shots from the field and finished one point shy of his career high set earlier this year against UNLV.

The MVC didn’t do well today?? Are you sane? I’m sorry that Drake lost along w a few others, but a few others did. Most importantly, You’re Bluejays and my Shockers. You do know that this is a competition for the NCAAs right? The NIT was great last year and their ugly sisters will be nice to watch for the faithful too. But Omaha and Wichita schoolswon. One in a heartbreaker and one in a slaughter. This matters to the people picking teams that stub their toe in their conference championship, and right now, Id say the MVC did VERY well tonight. My apologies to Drake.
Mike, what time is the NASCAR race?
Mike is right. His passion is being mistaken for over zealousness. It is time for WSU and Creighton to be selfish and rejoice at the misfortune of other Valley teams. They must aim for making it through the remainder of the season without a loss and then trying to get into a championship game with each other. Then they will be both safely in the NCAAs and at that point you can wish your league mates well in the NIT and the ugly sister tournaments.
