Four Huskers were selected in the 2012 NFL draft, including second-rounder Lavonte David, fourth-rounder Jared Crick and seventh-rounders Alfonzo Dennard and Marcel Jones — you can see a photo showcase of the Huskers who did get drafted here — but they won’t be the only Nebraska players headed to the NFL.
Former Nebraska receiver Brandon Kinnie will take his first stab at making an NFL roster with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Kinnie told The World-Herald on Saturday night that he agreed to a free-agent deal with the Chiefs after going undrafted. Kinnie played high school football in the Kansas City area after moving from Fort Wayne, Ind., when he was 15.
Also on Saturday night, former NU offensive tackle Yoshi Hardrick said on Twitter that he’s going to Tampa Bay and defensive tackle Terrence Moore reported that he is headed for Baltimore.
Former Husker safety Austin Cassidy said he had not yet reached an agreement with any teams.
