Doc says ‘Whoa’ on KU talk
Lee Barfknecht Omaha World-Herald

Former Nebraska basketball coach Doc Sadler confirmed Tuesday that he is in Lawrence, Kan., the next few days to meet with an old friend, Kansas coach Bill Self.

Sadler said there may be some discussion about a job with the Jayhawks. But Internet gossip about him already being named KU’s director of basketball operations aren’t true. The person who previously held that post, Barry Hinson, took the head coaching job at Southern Illinois this spring.

Sadler said it is unlikely anything in the way of any new job anywhere would happen before July. He said he has other situations to explore, including TV and the NBA.
