Veteran left-hander Doug Davis was named the Pacific Coast League’s pitcher of the week for June 18 through 24.
During that week, Davis started twice, struck out nine in 12 innings and allowed one earned run. Davis is the first Storm Chaser to earn the PCL’s pitcher of the week honor since Luis Mendoza was honored in August of 2011.
Davis has pitched for seven big league teams in his 13 major league seasons and is 3-1 for Omaha this season.
