Just in case you think Nebraska players have the inside scoop on the design of the alternate uniforms to be worn this season, keep searching for clues.

“None,” said tight end Kyler Reed when asked what input players had on the uniforms. Reed said he and other Husker players found out about the existence of an alternate uniform when newspapers reported it.

“We were just the voices pushing for it,” chimed in linebacker Will Compton.

Reed and Compton said the players should see the design before fall camp. As for which game the Huskers will wear them in, Reed said the “rumors are Wisconsin.” NU plays the Badgers in Lincoln on Sept. 29.
