Nebraska continues its search for defensive tackles worth offering for its 2013 class. Next stop: Kyle Shortridge, a 6-foot-2, 273-pounder who decommitted from Wake Forest July 1. The Loxahatchee (Fla.) Seminole prospect got a NU offer from Husker defensive line coach Rick Kaczenski shortly thereafter.

“I’ve been interested in Nebraska since Ndamukong Suh went there,” Shortridge told Husker Online. “I’ve seen him play there and I’ve been interested in them ever since. He’s one of my favorite players so I wanted to check out what their school has to offer.”

According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Shortridge is a four-star talent. He has three-star rankings from 247, Rivals and Scout.

Loxahatchee is a far western suburb of Palm Beach, Fla, near Lake Okeechobee. Kaczenski recruits the east side of Florida for NU.
