Two Big Ten QBs hurt

Saturday wasn’t a good day to be a Big Ten quarterback from the state of Indiana.

Purdue quarterback Robert Marve left the game against Notre Dame after his left knee buckled. Marve twice has had surgery on that knee for a torn ACL. Boilermakers coach Danny Hope said Sunday the team is still waiting for results on an MRI on Marve.

At Indiana, starting quarterback Tre Roberson suffered a broken left leg in the second quarter against Massachusetts. The true sophomore will be able to keep his year of eligibility on a medical hardship, but his injury is the last thing the struggling Hoosiers needed.
