As lopsided as Nebraska made the first half on Saturday – taking a 45-0 lead on Idaho State – it failed to approach the school record for points in the first two quarters.
The Huskers put up 63 points in the first halves of games with Arizona State in 1995 and Iowa State in 1997.
Nebraska scored 35 points in the first quarter Saturday. The school record for first-quarter points is 38, set against Baylor in 2000.

>> After completing a pair of first-quarter passes, backup quarterback Ron Kellogg III started the second with an interception. Taylor Martinez returned and played the rest of the first half.
>> Nebraska had its first-half low point in the second quarter. After reaching a first-and-10 at the Idaho State 38, the Huskers backed themselves up to fourth-and-26 with a holding penalty and back-to-back sacks.
>> NU had its second pass-interference penalty with Evans being flagged for the infraction.
>> Nebraska took its 45-0 lead on a 49-yard field goal by Brett Maher (into the wind) with 41 seconds left before halftime.
