The Nebraska the women’s basketball team will appear on CBS exactly one more time in the regular season than the Husker men.

NU’s Jan. 5, 1 p.m.  game vs. Purdue will be the Big Ten’s only women’s basketball game on CBS this year. The Huskers and Boilermakers split two games last season that included five overtimes. Purdue won the Big Ten title over Nebraska.

“Obviously we are excited about the opportunity to play on CBS as part of the Big Ten’s television package,” Nebraska coach Connie Yori said. “Last year, we played a total of five overtimes in two games with Purdue, so hopefully we’ll keep it exciting for the fans.”
