Football day in Minneapolis
Lee Barfknecht Omaha World-Herald

Greetings from TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. In about 30 minutes, I’ll get a look at two of Nebraska’s next five opponents: Northwestern (Oct. 20) and Minnesota (Nov. 17).

The Gophers (4-1) are coming off an open date, and saw their long injury report shrink to almost nothing. Even quarterback MarQueis Gray (ankle) might play today.

Northwestern (5-1) is coming off its first loss after giving up 22 points at Penn State in the final 10 minutes of a 39-28 setback.

Check omaha.com and The World-Herald later for my Sunday game column. On Monday, I’ll follow up with some more observations.

By the way, Nebraska fans who made the trip here last year already know this, but this stadium is outstanding.
