Three locals in women’s NCAA soccer tourney

Three Nebraskans are competing in the NCAA women’s soccer tournament this weekend.

Paige Nielsen (Lincoln Southeast) is competing for North Carolina, Ava Ambrose (Omaha Marian) for the University of Miami, and Jackie Tondl (Marian) for Texas A&M. All three are 2012 All-Nebraska players.

Texas A&M opened with Stephen F. Austin on Friday night. North Carolina meets Radford on Saturday and Miami takes on Central Florida.
