Things got off to a slippery start for one Big Ten team on Friday.

Ohio State’s game with Marquette, which was to be held on an aircraft carrier off the coast of South Carolina, was canceled because of condensation on the court.

Also, Iowa began the season with a rout of Texas-Pan American.

No. 1 Indiana 97, Bryant 54: Cody Zeller had 18 points and 10 rebounds, and Christian Watford had a career-high 15 boards for the Hoosiers, who won their 15th consecutive opener.

No. 5 Michigan 100, Slippery Rock 62: Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 25 points, surpassing 1,000 for his career, and Michigan had little difficulty against a Division II opponent.

Connecticut 66, No. 14 Michigan State 62: Shabazz Napier scored 25 points and Connecticut led most of the way in Kevin Ollie’s first game as the Huskies’ head coach in a game played in hanger at the United States’ Ramstein Air Base in Germany.
