UNO played in the new Ralston Arena for the first time, earning a win over Northern Illinois

Six other Summit League teams were in action on Friday, the first day of the college basketball season. The league went 4-3 to open the season.

Oakland 96, Albion 62: Travis Bader led Oakland with 27 points, including six 3-pointers, and was 9 of 15 from the field.
