Delany says divisions in flux

Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany said Tuesday that no decisions have been made on how the 14 members will be split into divisions.

ESPN reported Monday that Maryland officials told supporters that Maryland and Rutgers would join the Leaders Division, with Illinois moving from the Leaders to the Legends.

“Those reports yesterday have no basis in fact,” Delany said.

Big Ten athletic directors will address how the schools are aligned in the next three to five months, Delany said.
