Scouting CU: The Bluejays are looking for their third straight road win after falling to 0-2 at home with Sunday’s loss to Kansas. The last time Creighton won its first three road games was 1993-94. In the two road wins, the Bluejays have held opponents to 38 percent shooting compared to 51 percent in the two home losses to nationally ranked Oklahoma and Kansas.

Scouting BYU: Creighton can be thankful that the Cougars made the NCAA volleyball tournament because it will keep 6-foot-7 Jennifer Hamson out of the game. Hamson, the West Coast Conference’s volleyball player of the year, has played just one basketball game because of scheduling conflicts between the sports. In that game, she had 23 points, 14 rebounds and five blocked shots in a road win against previously unbeaten Arizona.

Opening tips: Creighton leads the series 6-5 but the teams haven’t met since 1992, when both were members of the WAC in women’s basketball.
