Creighton freshman guard Marissa Janning was named the Missouri Valley Conference newcomer of the week on Monday.
Janning spearheaded the Jays’ 65-62 comeback win against BYU, scoring 17 of her career-high 19 points in the second half and shooting 3 of 4 from beyond the arc.
