Creighton moved up one spot in both major men’s basketball polls released Monday, advancing to 12th in the USA Today coaches poll and 16th in the Associated Press rankings.
The Bluejays have now been ranked in the top 17 by both groups in each of the first eight polls of the season, reaching as high as No. 11 in both polls four weeks ago. The Jays, who earned a 71-54 victory over Tulsa last week, take an 11-1 record into the Missouri Valley Conference schedule.
Creighton opens Valley play when it hosts Evansville at 7:05 p.m. Saturday at CenturyLink Center Omaha.
