World-Herald staff writers Cameron Carlow and Jake Anderson provide insight following Week 16′s NFL action.

UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Bernard Pierce, RB, Ravens: A big week for Pierce was due to a lopsided score and one big run. Ray Rice is still the guy, and the Pierce shouldn’t get 14 carries again.
Darren Sproles, RB, Saints: Don’t think of Sproles as a running back, rather as a wide receiver. The slot-back had seven catches for 104 yards and nine carries for 48 yards. He’s been a solid flex option all season and will continue to produce.
Larry Fitzgerald, WR, Cardinals: Fitzgerald topped 100-yards receiving for only the second time all season and now has a matchup with the 49ers’ fourth-ranked passing defense. His disappointing season will continue.
Wes Welker, WR, Patriots: Welker caught 10 of his 12 targets against the Jaguars for 88 yards and a touchdown. The Patriots still have a chance at a first round bye in the playoffs, so expect full production from Welker.
Reggie Bush, RB, Dolphins: For the second week in a row, Bush has had at least 19 carries. After his early-season success, it only seems right that he’s paying back owners who have stuck with him.
Tony Romo, QB, Cowboys: Romo, with help from Dez Bryant, threw for 416 yards and four touchdowns against the Saints’ defense and now gets the Redskins’ 30th-ranked passing defense in a must-win game.
Matt Ryan, QB, Falcons: Ryan threw for 279 yards and four touchdowns, but he’s expected to sit Week 17 with the No. 1 seed in the NFC locked up.
Delanie Walker, TE, 49ers: Walker caught a touchdown pass for the second straight week, and with Vernon Davis likely out with a concussion, Walker should see a good amount of targets against the Cardinals.

Arian Foster, RB, Texans: Foster left Sunday’s game against the Vikings with an irregular heartbeat, but he saw a cardiologist and received a clean bill of health.
>> Also: Matt Forte, RB, Bears; Vernon Davis, TE, 49ers; Carson Palmer, QB, Raiders; Nick Foles, QB, Eagles; Heath Miller, TE, Steelers; Scott Chandler, TE, Bills; Trent Richardson, RB, Browns; Brandon Weeden, QB, Browns; Randall Cobb, WR, Packers; Cecil Shorts, WR, Jaguars; Rashad Jennings, RB, Jaguars; Mike Wallace, WR, Steelers; Mario Manningham, WR, 49ers

Ryan Grant, RB, Packers: No one would have predicted in the preseason that Grant would gut the bulk of the carries by season’s end, but the player that was cut and re-signed had 20 rushes for 80 yards and two touchdowns. If your league is still playing, Grant is a nice pickup.
>> Also: Montell Owens, RB, Jaguars; Michael Vick, QB, Eagles; Chad Henne, QB, Jaguars; Greg Little, WR, Browns; Domenik Hixon, WR, Giants
