All-Star Billy Butler, Kansas City pitcher of the year Greg Holland and second baseman Johnny Giavotella will appear in Omaha as part of the Royals’ annual winter caravan.
The stop at the Ultimate Baseball Academy is Jan. 17, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The lineup includes Royals Hall of Famer John Mayberry. UBA is located at 4225 S. 121 st Plaza.
Butler hit .319 with 29 homers and 107 RBIs last season. Holland took over as the Royals’ closer in the second half of the season and finished 7-4 with a 2.96 ERA and 16 saves. Giavotella has split time between Kansas City and the Omaha Storm Chasers the past two seasons.
