Scouting UNO: UNO posted its first win against a Division I opponent last season at Western Illinois 65-58. The Leathernecks beat the Mavericks in a return trip to Omaha 70-59. Paige Frauendorfer averaged 13.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 2.0 blocks against WIU last season, while Jamie Nash averaged 12.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 3.5 steals. UNO leads the Summit League in field-goal percentage defense at .357 and, important considering it is playing Western Illinois, ranks third in allowing opponents to shoot 29.1 percent from 3.

Scouting Western Illinois: The Leathernecks are 6-0 at home. WIU made 14 3-pointers and had six players score in double figures in an 87-52 win Tuesday against Chicago State. The Leathernecks are among the national top 25 and lead the Summit with an average of 7.9 made 3-pointers per game. Saule Kontautaite is second behind UNO’s Ericka House for the league lead in made 3s per game at 2.2. Michelle Maher is fourth at 2.1 per game. Charnelle Reed is second in 3-point percentage at .444.
