Dwayne Johnson, a 6-foot-6, 275-pound offensive tackle out of the Houston metro, has made an oral commitment to Nebraska, according to a recruiting service.
Johnson’s coach, Trey Sissom, revealed the news to BigRedReport.com Tuesday morning. Here’s a link to the website’s full report.
Johnson was choosing between Nebraska and Arkansas, a decision that apparently got tougher during the past couple weeks (one would assume the Razorbacks staff makes another run at him Tuesday). Johnson postponed a planned announcement on Jan. 28.
A one-time Purdue commit, Johnson saw increased attention after film of his senior season at Bellaire High School started to make the rounds. He visited Nebraska in January.
He’s the 26th known member of NU’s 2013 recruiting class, which will become official Wednesday. He’s the fifth true offensive lineman. All four major recruiting services rate Johnson as a three-star prospect.
