Penn State coach Patrick Chambers took time after Saturday night’s loss at Nebraska to grab Husker senior forward Brandon Ubel and offer congratulations as “a senior who has bought into the program.”
“He’s a tireless worker and a great leader,” Chambers said Monday. “That’s one thing we’re lacking — we need a leader.
“What Ubel has done in both games against us, he has been the difference. His defense is terrific, he’s unselfish and he knows his role.”
Now, check out this even bigger compliment for Ubel.
“He would rather win than score points,” Chambers said. “That is totally against the generation of today. So I appreciate him for who he is and where he has come from, and what he’s going to do when he leaves here.
“That kid is going to be a superstar.”
