There has been plenty of speculation about what other schools will join Big East members Georgetown, St. John’s, Villanova, Seton Hall, DePaul, Marquette and Providence — the group known as the “Catholic 7” — in a new basketball league.

But the Washington Post reported on its website Sunday that it probably won’t be Creighton. The school is considered too far west for teams in non-revenue sports to travel.
