Forecasts of a major winter storm hitting Nebraska on Thursday has Husker officials checking into Big Ten policies for what possibility there might be in moving Thursday’s home game against Iowa to Wednesday.
Marc Boehm, NU’s executive who oversees basketball, said Monday morning that no talks about moving the game have been held yet but that a call was made to the Big Ten office to ask about contingencies.
“As you know, it all depends on television,” Boehm said.
The Husker-Hawkeye game is set to be shown on ESPN2 on Thursday at 8 p.m.
Planned TV appearances are difficult to alter, but Nebraska officials also are concerned about how many people could attend the game if forecasts of 12 to 24 inches of snow prove true.
