DEVANEY ERA ENDS
Two overtime games in the daytime, two game-winning baskets in the evening. It was a day for dramatic finishes in the final set of championship games at the Devaney Center before, presumably, the tournament shifts in 2014 to the new Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Tra-Deon HollinsWHAT’S NEXT FOR CENTRAL?

Tra-Deon Hollins, right, bowed to the Omaha Central fans as he left the Devaney court for the final time. The arena was the Eagles’ stage for all but one of the past eight years, an unsurpassed dynasty for Class A boys hoops. Now the Eagles face a massive rebuilding, with junior Tre’Shawn Thurman the only starter returning next season.

WAHOO PERFECT AGAIN
Wahoo’s 10th state title, and its first in 15 years, capped the fifth undefeated season for the Warriors. Their other perfect records were in 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1993.

TOP PERFORMER (non-Central)
Howells-Dodge senior Mat Gooch was a game-changer in the 49-34 win over Paxton in Class D-1. The 6-foot-5 forward had 10 points, 16 rebounds and at least five blocks.
