The Nebraska women’s basketball team got a No. 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament, drawing No. 11 seed Chattanooga in the first round game Saturday in College Station, Texas. Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m. on ESPN2. The winner will almost certainly play No. 3 seed and host Texas A&M.
Creighton received its second-ever at-large bid with a No. 10 seed. The Bluejays will play Syracuse Saturday in Knoxville, Tenn. If CU pulls off the upset, it’ll likely face No. 2 seed Tennessee.
We’ll have more later, including a seed analysis. Needless to say, NU didn’t expect the No. 6 line, and didn’t expect to be sent to A&M, which just won the SEC Tournament. Creighton, on the other hand, not only got in the tournament, but a rather winnable game.
