>> Jake Hohensee, Lincoln East: Struck out 16 while beating Grand Island 3-0 on a no-hitter.
>> David Kaltenberger, Lincoln Southwest: Threw a five-inning no-hitter, striking out eight, in an 11-0 win over Norfolk.
>> Nate Fisher, Platte Valley: Had 18 strikeouts in a complete-game win over Nebraska City.
BOYS GOLF
>> Carson Schaake, Omaha Creighton Prep: Shot a 6-under-par 66 at Jackrabbit Run to win the Grand Island Invitational. The Junior Jays won the team title at 4 under par.
>> Greg Stanek, Bellevue West: Captured the Titan Cup with a 73 at Eagle Hills and the Omaha Central Invitational with a 70 at Player’s Club.
BOYS TRACK AND FIELD
>> Steven Cahoy, Grand Island: At Wednesday’s Grand Island Invitational, the Nebraska recruit cleared 16-3¼ in the pole vault for the Islanders’ school record and third-best mark in state history.
>> Mark Jarecki, Columbus Lakeview: Repeated as the boys MVP of the Dan Lennon Invitational’s B Division by winning the 60 and 400 meters. At Tuesday’s Wayne Invitational, he set meet records with a 10.7 in the 100, 22.1 in the 200 and 49.7 in the 400.
>> Mitch Pancost, Alliance: Won the 100 and the long jump and ran on the winning 400 relay at the Sidney Invitational to help the Bulldogs claim the team title.
>> Kaden Huxoll, Cambridge: Received the J.R. Mollring Memorial Award at McCook’s Hoehner Invitational as the meet’s outstanding male athlete. He swept the three sprint races and followed up with a sweep at Tuesday’s Dundy County-Stratton invitational.
>> Austin Cherry, McCook: Lowered his record in the 800 meters at the Hoehner Invitational to 1:59.7.
>> Zach Holka, Malcolm: At the Clippers’ invitational, the senior won the 100 and 200 and ran on two winning relays.
GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD
>> Gabi Gracia, Holdrege; Molly Sughroue, McCook: They shared the E.B. Bruth Memorial Award as the outstanding female athlete at the Hoehner Invitational. Gracia set meet records in the 1,600 and 3,200, breaking the 3,200 record set in 1981 by McCook’s Carol Nunnally. Sughroue won the 200, 400 and 800, setting records in the longer two.
>> Kylie Study, Columbus: Her winning 10-9 in the pole vault at the Dan Lennon Invitational set the school record.
>> Alyssa Frauendorfer, Humphrey: Won four events — the 100, 200, long and triple jumps — at the Fullerton Invitational.
BOYS SOCCER
>> Austin Allen, Grand Island Northwest: Scored a hat trick in an 8-1 win at York.
BOYS BASKETBALL
>> Mark Bender, Humphrey: Set school records with 13 assists in a game, 11 steals in a game and 170 assists in a season. His team set school single-game records with 20 offensive rebounds and 22 steals.
>> Austin Blume, Hitchcock County: The junior set school records with 947 points in a career and 449 in a season, a 19.5 scoring average and 75 steals in a season.
