Cardette Relays
When, where: 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Treynor, Iowa.
Girls teams entered: A-H-S-T, Audubon, Griswold, Riverside, Underwood, Missouri Valley, Boyer Valley, Clarinda Academy, Fremont-Mills, East Mills, Red Oak, Shenandoah, Sidney, Woodbine, West Harrison, Logan-Magnolia, Tri-Center, Treynor.

SCHEDULE
Track and field: Sioux City Relays, Friday and Saturday, Olsen Stadium, Sioux City. There is a college division as well as three high school divisions and a middle school schedule. Action starts at noon Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday, although the weather may force an adjustment to the schedule. Check screlays.com for further details.
Girls soccer: CB St. Albert at Sioux City Heelan, 6 p.m. Thursday. Heelan is rated third in the state in Class 1-A, and St. Albert is fourth. St. Albert also plays at 1-A No. 15 Tri-Center on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
Girls golf: CB Abraham Lincoln Invitational, 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Dodge/Riverside Golf Course. Teams entered are CB Abraham Lincoln, CB Lewis Central, CB St. Albert, CB Thomas Jefferson, Sergeant Bluff-Luton, Shenandoah, Sioux City North, Sioux City West and Treynor.

TRACK ASSIGNMENTS
The joint state-qualifying co-ed track meets are less than a month away, scheduled for May 9. Here are the assignments involving schools in The World-Herald’s western Iowa coverage area, recently released by the Iowa High School Athletic Association and Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union:
Class 1-A
At Corning: Bedford, Corning, Diagonal (girls only), East Mills, Essex, Fremont-Mills, Griswold, Lenox, Nishnabotna, Sidney, South Page, Stanton, Villisca.
At Guthrie Center: Adair-Casey, Ar-We-Va, Audubon, CAM, Coon Rapids-Bayard, EHK-Exira, Glidden-Ralston, Guthrie Center, Madrid, Paton-Churdan, Prairie Valley, Southeast Webster-Grand, Woodward Academy (boys only), Woodward-Granger.
At Van Meter: Earlham, East Union, DM Grandview Park Baptist, Iowa Christian/Ankeny Christian, Lamoni, Martensdale-St. Marys, Mormon Trail, Mount Ayr (girls only), Murray, Orient-Macksburg, Seymour, Southeast Warren, Van Meter, Wayne.

NOTABLES
GIRLS TRACK
Emma Konkler, Audubon: Currently ranks tied for third in the state in Class 1-A with a best 100-meter dash time of 13.0 seconds.
Sydney Nielsen, Shenandoah: Her top time of 1:08.5 in the 400 hurdles is tied for second in the state in Class 2-A.
BOYS TRACK
Kevin Herrick, Fremont-Mills: Season-best of 57.0 in the 400 hurdles ranks first in the state in Class 1-A.
Tony Dawson, Harlan: Tied for fourth in the state in Class 3-A with a best high jump of 6-4.
