Omaha Bryan boys basketball coach Tim Cannon, after 28 years at the school, will be the new coach at Millard North.

Cannon, whose 400th career win came during this past season, will be the replacement for Chip Bahe, who’s leaving Millard North to be an assistant coach at Hastings College.

Cannon said he met with his Bryan players Tuesday to tell them of his decision. He already had filed for early retirement from teaching with the Omaha Public Schools, but was considering staying at Bryan to be a coach only.
