>> Matt Meiners, Millard South: He tossed a four-hitter in a win over Lincoln Southwest.
>> Byron Hood, Norris: He threw a no-hitter through five innings and struck out 11 in a win over Omaha Central.
>> Austin Plath, Omaha Burke: He had three hits and two RBIs in a win over Lincoln Southwest.

>> Austin Cherry, McCook: He took second in the 800 meters at the Kansas Relays, running a Class B season-best 1:56.21.
>> Kaden Huxoll, Cambridge: He swept the sprints and ran on the winning 400 relay at the newly named Mike Troxel Invitational at Sutherland.
>> Matt D. Klein, Scottsbluff: At the Best of the West Classic, he won both hurdles events and ran on the winning 400 relay to be named the outstanding athlete of the meet.
GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD
>> Katie Krick, Lincoln Pius X: She won the 200 and 400 meters and ran on the winning 400 and 1,600 relays to help the Thunderbolts capture the Harold Scott Invitational title.
>> Kelsy Wood, Hemingford: At the Best of the West, she won the long jump, 100 meters and both hurdles races to repeat as winner of the meet’s outstanding athlete award.
BOYS GOLF
>> Cameron Bargell, North Platte: At Lochland in Hastings, he shot 73 to win the Tigers’ invitational by four strokes. He won the Lexington Invitational earlier last week.
>> Philip Braumberger, Lincoln East: He shot 73 at Fremont Golf Club to win the Tigers’ invitational by two strokes and help the Spartans to the team title.
GIRLS SOCCER
>> Rachel Lyons, Conestoga: She stopped 10 shots, then made two saves in a shootout, to lift the Cougars to a 2-1 win over Plattsmouth — their first win in 12 meetings with the Blue Devils.
>> Maggie Martin and Josie Thompson, Gering: Martin, a fourth-year starting keeper, had five shutouts as the Bulldogs started the season 9-3. Thompson’s five goals Tuesday against Scottsbluff set the school record.
