Collin-Orcutt game moved
Mike Patterson Omaha World-Herald

The annual Collin-Orcutt American Legion baseball game scheduled for tonight (Memorial Day) at 6 at Brown Park has been moved to Omaha Westside tonight at 6.

That leads me to two thoughts…

1. How fortunate the high school baseball community is to have the artificial-turf Warriors field to fall back on in times of inclement weather.

2. Much of the spring baseball season was affected by rain…guess we shouldn’t be surprised that the American Legion season is getting off to the same soggy start.

I always enjoy covering this game…it’s a nice tribute to the Omaha-area senior baseball players and a great way to honor former longtime coaches Cornie Collin and Scotty Orcutt. A win-win for all.

Just hope the rain holds off later and that we can get the game in tonight…
