Looks like Doc Sadler is leaving Kansas for a job as an assistant on Fred Hoiberg’s staff at Iowa State.

ESPN’s Jason King reported the move this morning.

The former Nebraska men’s basketball coach took a job in Lawrence last year as director of basketball operations for the Jayhawks.

He would join a Cyclones team that last season went 23-12 and lost to Ohio State in the third round of the NCAA tournament.

Sadler was 101-89 in six seasons as head coach at Nebraska. Before that he was 48-18 in two years at Texas-El Paso.
