Nebraska’s Sept. 14 game against UCLA — its third contest of the season — received an 11 a.m. kickoff time from ABC, which will broadcast the game.
That’s a tough a draw for the Bruins, accustomed to Pacific Standard Time, which is two hours earlier. This is, in essence, a 9 a.m. kickoff for UCLA.
The 11 a.m. start continues a run of early kickoffs for NU, which only has one true primetime game — the 7 p.m. opener vs. Wyoming — on the slate thus far. Most of the Huskers’ games against marquee Big Ten opponents fall in November, where the league has an informal rule against playing at night.
