Meet No. 48:

But Miller’s on scholarship for just that. He’s expected to be the one snapping the football on punts and field goals, quickly and accurately so the team’s specialists can avoid those potential game-changing mistakes.
P.J. Mangieri took over as Nebraska’s long snapper during his true freshman year — and besides a couple of mistakes on a rainy night in Columbia, Mo., he was remarkably consistent for four seasons. That’s what the Huskers need.
Nearly every major recruiting service ranked Miller among the nation’s top five long snappers, so he should have the skills to transition successfully to the next level.
