Huskers rank highly on entertainment list

SB Nation Thursday released a list of college football’s most exciting teams, applying a stat-driven Entertainment Index to determine the teams fans most — and least — enjoyed last year.

Nebraska was tops in the Big Ten and 7th nationally in 2012. In 2013, SBNation projects NU to be No. 9.

Having a no-huddle spread offense is part of the excitement, it appears; the projected top ten in 2013 all consist of those attacks.

It’s worth noting that UCLA is projected at the No 10 most exciting team in 2013, making the Huskers’ matchup with the Bruins the only non-conference game in college football pitting two top ten teams against each other.

Of course, ESPN would rather put Notre Dame and Purdue in primetime on Sept. 14 because Big Ten teams can’t wean themselves off the Fighting Irish. I’ll talk more about it Sunday when I rank all 48 Big Ten non-conference games.
