Alex Lewis, a Colorado lineman whose transfer to Nebraska is up in the air because of felony assault charges, appeared in a Boulder (Colo.) County courtroom Monday for a preliminary hearing.

Lewis waived his hearing, and a judge set Lewis’ arraignment for July 26. The son of former Husker Bill Lewis remains charged with second-degree assault and two counts of harassment, stemming from an alleged fight near CU’s campus just after Lewis announced his transfer to the Huskers.
