DONETSK, Ukraine — Kenzo Cotton of Team USA ran the fastest qualifying time Thursday in the 100-meter dash at the IAAF World Youth Championships.
The Papillion-La Vista senior won heat four in 10.52 seconds, which also is a new Nebraska Association record. Cotton’s time was the fastest of all 11 first round heats.
“I felt pretty good, my start was alright and my finish was good,” Cotton said. “Being out there and getting that first race out of the way, feeling everyone, it was good.”
