The Omaha Country Club has undergone a transformation, from a private course that relatively few have stepped foot on to center stage during the U.S. Senior Open, a setting that throws the doors wide open to national television viewers, the media and the fans.
With the event, the landscape at and around Omaha Country Club has changed drastically. T.V. camera towers went in. Grandstands were constructed. Airports have become parking lots and a golf course that not so long ago was peppered with club members getting a few strokes in is ruled by large crowds pressed to see their favorite Champions Tour professionals.
