Report: Nebraska-Cincinnati agree to future football series
Jon Nyatawa Omaha World-Herald

Nebraska will host the Bearcats for a game in 2020 and travel to Cincinnati for a road matchup in 2025, according to ESPN analyst Brett McMurphy.

McMurphy tweeted the news Thursday morning.

Cincinnati athletic director Whit Babcock hasn’t commented, but he referenced the eventual release of a scheduling agreement in a recent tweet:

The Huskers have not announced any other non-conference games in those 2020 and 2025 seasons. They’ve already released plans to play a home-and-home against Oklahoma (in 2021 and 2022) and a home-and-home against Colorado (in 2023 and 2024).

The only other time Nebraska and Cincinnati have met was in 1906 — the Huskers won 41-0.

Sidenote: The Huskers and Bearcats will reportedly meet on the basketball court this season (in Cincinnati).
