Creighton announced Wednesday that men’s soccer coach Elmar Bolowich has signed Zabarle Kollie, a transfer from North Carolina State.
Kollie, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound junior forward with two years of eligibility remaining, played in 18 matches (five starts) at N.C. State in 2012. He finished with four goals, 17 shots and nine points for the Wolfpack. Kollie tallied eight points during his freshman campaign in Raleigh.
The Liberia native played at Kimball Union Academy in Meriden, N.H. before heading to N.C. State.
Kollie joins nine other newcomers on a Bluejays squad that finished with a 17-4-3 record last season.
Creighton opens the 2013 season with a Blue-White scrimmage at 6 p.m. Thursday at Morrison Stadium. The scrimmage is open to the public and admission is free.
