UNO, Creighton women open seasons on the road

UNO plays at New Mexico State on Friday at 5 p.m., then travels to UTEP for a 2 p.m. match Sunday.

The Mavs went 3-15 and 3-5 in the Summit League last season but lost just one player.

UNO lost 1-0 in its final exhibition against Kansas last weekend.

Creighton opens Friday at 5 p.m. at Utah State, then plays Sunday at 1 p.m. at Boise State.

The Bluejays went 1-1 in their exhibition season. They will count on senior Lauren Cingoranelli to lead the offense and freshman keeper Danielle Rice defensively.

Former CU assistant coach Heather Cairns leads the Aggies.
