>> Volleyball: Missouri Valley at IKM-Manning, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Western Iowa Class 2-A/1-A No. 7 IKM-Manning makes its Western Iowa Conference debut against a tall Lady Reds club rated eighth.
Kent Klinkefus is the new head softball coach at Harlan Community High School. Klinkefus retired from Harlan in 2007 after three years as assistant principal/athletic director and 16 as high school principal. He has been a softball assistant the past five years and replaces Megan Hoch, who resigned after one season. The promotion is awaiting school board approval.
>> Trent Solsma and Connor Niles, Sioux City Heelan: Solsma completed 26 of 36 passes for 369 yards and three touchdowns in a 27-22 win over Sioux City East. Niles caught 10 passes for 178 yards and a score.
>> Colby Jennings, East Mills: Rushed 25 times for 236 yards and a touchdown and made seven tackles in a 28-7 win over Shenandoah.
>> Jake Roden, West Harrison: In a 50-14 Eight-Man win over Woodbine, he rushed seven times for 144 yards and three scores.
>> Adam Baker, Creston: Carried 18 times for 159 yards and a touchdown in a 50-20 win over Chariton.
>> Ben Pautsch, Charter Oak-Ute: Rushed nine times for 173 yards and two touchdowns in an 81-50 Eight-Man win over Whiting.
>> Tyler Oberreuter, OA-BCIG: Caught six passes for 103 yards, including a 57-yard touchdown, in a 22-19 win over IKM-Manning.
>> Brogan Weddum, Glenwood: In a 43-13 win over Red Oak, the junior carried five times for 78 yards and a touchdown and caught touchdown passes of 88 and 4 yards.
>> Chris Osborne, Sidney: Carried seven times for 200 yards and three TDs, caught two passes for 65 yards and made seven tackles in a 56-18 Eight-Man win over Nishnabotna.
>> Eric Koerner, Marvin Gaines and Bryce Hatler, Maple Valley-Anthon-Oto: All three had 100-yard rushing games in a 42-20 win over West Monona. Koerner carried eight times for 142 yards and two scores, Gaines ran 17 times for 127 yards and a TD, and Hatler pitched in 12 rushes for 114 yards and three scores.
>> Nate Gettys, Harlan: Rushed for 109 yards on 18 carries in a 28-6 win over Denison-Schleswig.
>> Kyle Bauerkemper, A-H-S-T: Had 12 carries for 152 yards and two touchdowns to go with nine tackles in a 20-14 win over Tri-Center.
>> Dillon Wills, Logan-Magnolia: Registered touchdown catches of 61 and 32 yards in a 40-14 win over Missouri Valley.
>> Megan Deist, Audubon: The senior won the individual girls title on Tuesday at the Logan-Magnolia cross country invitational, finishing the 4,000-meter course in 15:57, 10 seconds ahead of St. Albert’s Jacey Martin.
