Women’s basketball: Mavs welcome nine newcomers

The University of Nebraska at Omaha women’s basketball team will feature nine newcomers on its 12-player roster, the school announced Tuesday.

UNO returns one senior, Ericka House, who led all Summit League players in scoring off the bench last year with 9.0 points per game. Also returning are juniors Cathleen Cox (2.6 points per game) and Taijhe Kelly (Summit League-best 74 blocked shots).

In all, the Mavs’ roster features one senior, six juniors (three junior college transfers, one Div. I transfer) and five freshmen (one walk-on).

The nine UNO newcomers:

>> Felicia Coleman, 5-5, Fr., G, Winter Park, Fla. (Trinity Prep)
>> Sami Pawlak, 6-0, Fr., F, Geneva, Ill. (Geneva)
>> Madi Robson, 5-7, Fr., G, Ankeny, Iowa (Ankeny)
>> Mikaela Shaw, 6-0, Fr., G, Deweese, Neb. (Sandy Creek)
>> Victoria Trowbridge, 6-1, Fr., F, Naperville, Ill. (Naperville Central)
