At what point do we take Defensive 'Guru' out of Pellini's job description? I am fairly confident making tackles is part of being a defensive guru. I could be wrong.

Typical Boe Pelini team--big game means big loss
September 15, 2013 at 12:08 am
Tired of Bo throwing his players under the bus. When is HE going to take responsibility for these embarrassing losses???
September 14, 2013 at 11:38 pm
Our coordinators just aren't up to the task.
September 15, 2013 at 1:34 am
I am just going to say it..Nebraska is becoming a school of "has been great". Bo Pelini since he has his recruits has regressed the program. He hasn't won ONE single game that he wasn't supposed to and has lost NUMEROUS games he was was supposed to win. When you have the same old same old excuses that "We didn't make plays" and "We didn't execute" Whose fault is that? Coaching. You have a defensive GURU that is giving up over 400 yards of offense to an UNRANKED opponent you got problems. Every year Bo blames the players. How about you Mr. Bo Pelini. The blame starts with you. What you are putting out is UNACCEPTABLE. Change starts with you. Either you know Nebraska and the football tradition of the blackshirts or Get your cleats and get the Hell out of town.......

Papuchis is not a Div I Def Coordinator. Period. End of story. They have Martinez more concerned about not fumbling rather than making plays. Beck, the $700k O Coordinator? Please....
September 15, 2013 at 12:45 am
Pretty simple to me...we are not that good and have not been since the 90's. 3-4 losses a year will kill a program and a fan base.

I blame the coaches. NU has the talent. Lets try something creative and new...same old same old isn't working. We did nothing to surprise UCLA!
September 15, 2013 at 2:23 am
What a horrendous offensive game plan, bad all the way around. Two years in a row that the UCLA staff dismantled the Huskers in the 2nd half. Bo knows how to get embarrassed, I don't think he knows football. What a dreadfully coached team, an embarrassment to all Husker fans.
September 15, 2013 at 1:16 am
Question:Has there ever been a game of significance where our opponent hasn't scored before half and then we come out flat? Hopefully we can't beat our next 6 cupcakes before being embarrassed at Michigan.
September 15, 2013 at 4:12 am
All these comments are spot on. We are just another Callahan, Cosgrove team. We flat out suck
September 15, 2013 at 3:28 am
Officially off the Bo Bandwagon. Not wasting any more of my Saturdays watching this.

yeah it's sad but there are some talented boys out there that need some good coaching, they need a chance! it is too bad
September 15, 2013 at 1:53 am
4 years of bad quarterbacking put pressure on him and hes lost.
September 15, 2013 at 3:18 am
this was a tough one...the program is at a very dangerous juncture. One thing that bothers me is that we have all this glitz and build up during the game on Husker Vision...too much celebrity stuff breeds softness. Do we have players who will run through a wall or across broken glass? Do we have a coaching staff able to manage problems and react?
September 15, 2013 at 3:49 am
Right On! We spend more time on the Husker Vision reminiscing about the 90's instead of focusing on regaining the standard of excellence in the present program. I am so sick of listening to the players do a self analysis after the game. What the heck! Are they football players or TV analysts. LEt's get back in the game and start worrying about our fundamentals instead of trying to turn this program into a 3 ring circus.

Bo, I'm sorry but its time to go. I wish you well. Friends do not make coordinators and it shows. AD, you may only have a 1 year shot to go after Scott Frost. Lets hope your watching the train wreck Bo is heading for.
September 15, 2013 at 2:05 am
at least we are consistent in the first half, then we quit, no heart and terrible play calling, no d, all around not good. craig bohl looks good, so does scott frost, even solich. bo not so much
September 15, 2013 at 2:24 am
Last twitter comment by Kenny Bell is accurate.......great thought process. Why drag the team down worse. they did not lose on purpose I bet...
September 15, 2013 at 10:48 pm
bo gut ur staff and find coaches that aren't family or friends

Either Martinez is hurt, or they've told him not to run. When your O-line can't pass block and the defense has guys in your backfield all the time, Martinez has to feel free to run, and he obviously isn't. You can't even lay poor tackling on inexperience, as Ciante Evans and Baptiste were 2 of the worst culprits. Chris Spielman would be a great coach; too bad someone in the organization wasn't listening to him call the game. We could of made his adjustments and finished better.
September 15, 2013 at 3:03 am
this is typical husker fans....just walked out of chipotle in west O where a lady was claiming our coaches this...our coaches that..coaches don't make tackles or play defense, going through our line ups ucla had more talent in the majority of the positions(especially QB)...the meltdown to allow 38 points in inexcusable but bottom line UCLA had the better team, as so do about half the Big 10 so we better get used to it.. thats NU's biggest problem the defensive coaching can only go as far as the players...

Did anyone see the UCLA players dancing on the field before that kickoff? Disrepectful and not answered. I think some Husker pride and swagger has been lost. This is a fractured team. Really too bad.
September 15, 2013 at 1:15 pm
no discipline. We had the stopped on 3rd down - time to punt and some knucklehead taps the QB with his helmet???? What is that? No adjustments by coaches. Bad play calling. This is all on the coaches and how they run this team. I have been a big defender of Pelini but as of this game he has lost me.
September 15, 2013 at 9:32 am
Get yourself a cooler, and lay yourself low.Coincidential excuses, with nothing to show. It's the same old story, same old story,
same old story,and daaaaaance.
September 15, 2013 at 2:42 am
Another Big Game with a huge loss. Embarrassing. How many times are we going to have to watch this? 9 wins mean the same as 5 when the big games look like this. Bye Bo, this is all on you.
