Football weather in Madison
Lee Barfknecht Omaha World-Herald

It’s the official last day of summer, but you wouldn’t know it in Madison, Wisc.

Wisconsin and Purdue will open the Big Ten football season under cloudy skies with a stiff north wind and a temperature of 57.

Wisconsin will try to shake the disappointment/rage from last week’s officiating screw-up that cost the Badgers a chance to beat Arizona State.

Purdue will try to show that last week’s effort against Notre Dame wasn’t a fluke.
